All our 1-to-1 mentoring and tutoring sessions are;
to make the sessions fun, relaxed and engaging.
Competition for medical school entry has always been fierce, and if all applicants are studying hard and getting medical work experience, etc. what gives you the edge?
Our mentors have recently successfully applied to those medical schools to which you are considering applying. They have a special insight into what they were required to do to gain admittance – e.g. answer MMI questions, write a medical school personal statement or discuss current developments at the medical school. As any successful medical student will tell you; teaching, medicine and mentoring go hand in hand, so many medical students are experienced tutors or have some experience of teaching - so why not tap into their experience to help you earn those top grades too?
University ambassadors or other staff are usually paid by their university marketing
department – so they will give you their, often scripted, answers in the interests of
their university’s medical school. Just because the same marketing message is coming from
a trained student ambassador does not make their message authentic.
However, our mentors are working specifically for your interests because you are
consulting them directly for their services. Their advice is unbiased and as authentic as
it gets because they have your long-term interests at heart – and not just try to sell or
to convert you into applying to or enrolling in their university.
In addition, university ambassadors do not mentor and help you enhance your application
and cannot offer tutoring services – which are key to your admission.
Yes, in fact we encourage this because most applicants for medical school cannot be certain that they will get into any medical school. So having more than one mentor may be able to provide you with advice specific to their medical school.
This is exactly why a mentor would be ideal to assist you during your free discovery call. They have an insight into their course that no website, open day or other representative can give. Even better is that they can give this insight in a language that you (and your parents) will understand, with full regard for your cultural background.
Yes – and for a number of reasons:
i) Firstly, if your offer is conditional to getting certain grades, who better to tutor you
than a medical student already at that medical school?
ii) Secondly, our medical students do not work for their university, so they will not
‘sell’ you the course but give you an impartial insight – leaving you to make an informed
decision before it's too late.
iii) Finally, connecting with medical students who have been at their medical school for a while will not only build your community of potential friends before enrolling, but also give further insights into what you expect when you reach their stage of the course.
